BackSoon rejected – as “useless tool”
There were many cases of rejection in the last month. Some because of the violating of copyrights or stolen data issues, some because of breaking the law – and rightly so. At first “BackSoon” violated the Apple copyright of their sticky note, so I changed the image and handed in the new version with another design.
After long waiting I got a call from Apple. The friendly guy on the other side of the line told me that it’s rejected and worthless to resubmit the app. The only reason I was given was that the app has no use most of the year and therefore doesn’t fit the criteria.
Of course most time of the year no new products are added so the Apple Online Store will be up. But exact in those cases some folks like to be informed very early. Such folks may say it has a big use.
In any case I think it’s up to the user to judge if an app is useful or not.
Apps like “I’m rich”, “flashlight”, “fart simulators” or any kind of – in some eyes “useless” stuff – made it to the store. Some of them may be of big interest in the first few day. But after a while they are just boring.
I don’t really get it because Schiller claimed that only evil and corrupt apps are rejected:
